Haryana BJP Releases List of Candidates for MC Polls

Gearing up for the high-stake municipal battle, the ruling BJP in Haryana on Monday released list of candidates for members of five municipal corporations, which goes to polls on December 16. The list of candidates for mayor post of five Municipal Corporations including Hisar, Rohtak, Yamunanagar, Panipat and Karnal has already been released by the party last week. The BJP which is contesting on its symbol, to test its popularity in Haryana, on Monday released entire list of candidates for members in Yamunanagar (22 wards) and Karnal (20 wards), constituency of Chief Minister Manohar Lal. Treading cautiously to finalize candidates names, the party released 17 names out of total 22 wards in Rohtak MC, 20 names out of 26 wards in Panipat MC and names on 13 wards out of total 20 in Hisar till the filing of this report. CECB to offer Green Skill Development Programme

The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) in joint association with NIT Raipur will be offering Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) under which Certificate Course on ETP/ STP /CETP Operation and Maintenance will be offered to skill enthusiasts as Master Trainers (MTs) and Specialists, a CECB press release informed on Tuesday. Hry Guv sanctions to prosecute former CM Hooda in AJL

Trouble seems to be mounting for the former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, as Haryana Governor SN Arya has sanctioned to prosecute him in the Associated Journals Ltd (AJL) case on illegal re-allotment of land to the promoters of an English daily, National Herald. The Manohar Lal Khattar Government had handed over the case of “illegal” re-allotment of a plot to AJL to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The decision to hand over the probe to the CBI into the AJL case was taken after receiving the report of Haryana Vigilance Bureau (SVB) which had in May 2016 registered a case of cheating and corruption against former Chief Minister and then HUDA chairman, Hooda. Giving details, senior Haryana Minister Anil Vij on Thursday said that the CBI would soon file charge sheet in the court against former Chief Minister in National Herald case. Traffic advisory issued in view of India International Trade Fair

The Delhi Traffic Police on Tuesday issued an advisory about special traffic arrangements and restrictions during India International Trade Fair from November 14 to 27. The entry to the fair will be restricted to business visitors only from November 14 to 17, and it will be open for general public from November 18 to 27, they said. To ensure smooth regulation and movement of traffic on the roads surrounding Pragati Maidan, no vehicle will be allowed to halt or park anywhere on Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg, the advisory said. No vehicle of visitors will be allowed to be parked on Sher Shah Road, Purana Quila Road, Bhagwan Dass Road and Tilak Marg, the advisory stated. Vehicles found parked on the above-mentioned roads would be towed away and prosecuted with a fine of Rs 600 for improper parking and disobedience of instructions.
