CECB to offer Green Skill Development Programme

The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) in joint association with NIT Raipur will be offering Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) under which Certificate Course on ETP/ STP /CETP Operation and Maintenance will be offered to skill enthusiasts as Master Trainers (MTs) and Specialists, a CECB press release informed on Tuesday.

This is in line with the Skill India Mission of Prime Minister, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) which has launched the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP).
The program involves holding theory and practical classes to strengthen the fundamentals and field visits and hands on training at the treatment plant sites for real-life exposure and practice.

There are prospective employment opportunities in the Effluent Treatment Plants, Sewage Treatment Plants, and Common Effluent Treatment Plants in industries, municipal corporations and councils, and pollution control boards.

The certificate course is proposed to start in December.
There is no fee for the course. The outstation candidates will be provided free lodging and boarding. The admission to the course will depend on the selection process that may involve a written test and interview.

Selection Process will be held at Training & Placement Office of NIT Raipur on December 6 from 11 am. .
